Thanks given, thanks received
Dinner's eaten, movie's about to start... just enough time to say that I'm grateful for all I have, and hope I show it more often than not;-)
The Computing Fool

What a difference a month makes;-)
This place is really coming together, thanks more to my darlin' wife Deb than me.She built several pieces of those heavy-box furniture dealy-bobs, all by herself just about, but had her good friend/"dad" Dewey Cummins help with the last, biggest job, a cool coat rack/bench that looks marvelous.
Thanksgiving is almost here, and my brother Rick and his wife Jeanine are coming over the mountains from Portland to celebrate with us. Good thing, since Deb wanted an 18.5-pound turkey. Today she made, let's see, cranberry mold, potato rolls, pumpkin pie, marble cheesecake... am I leaving anything out?
I'm so darn blessed, it's pathetic;-)
Oh! And my brother Pete (see earlier entry) came over again and helped me install a new video card, which made Microsoft Train Simulator run right. It was rebooting when I tried to run it, and other games were rebooting on exit. The folks at DSI said the video card I had should have been able to do that, but gratefully refunded my money after we stepped up to a higher (probably middle-end;-) video card from PNY. It can even handle digital video, if I ever get a digital LCD screen. Sure hope this machine doesn't get obselete too fast.
And I just may get Blogger Pro. But if I only update once a month, what good is that? It's been nice being in better shape financially, but I sure know the slippery slope back to where we were. It's been weird -- money isn't everything. (Did I just say that?;-)
